devonkrantz.com (“the Site,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Devon Krantz, based in Cape Town, South Africa. “Chaos Theory” is the brand under which Devon offers training, mentorship, and consulting services. For anything in these Terms, contact devonkrantz@gmail.com.

This site is informational. It describes services Devon offers, shares writing and resources, and lets you ask Chaos (an AI assistant) to help you find the right starting point. Submitting the contact form or chatting with Chaos doesn't create a client relationship, professional engagement, or contract. Any actual engagement is governed by a separate agreement signed between you and Devon after the intake call.

Chaos is an AI assistant powered by a large language model. She speaks in Devon's general voice but does not speak with Devon's authority. She makes mistakes, can be confidently wrong, and is not a substitute for talking to Devon directly.

Specifically, Chaos is not, and her replies should not be relied on as: legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, medical advice, psychological advice, or specific business or technical recommendations for your situation. If you need any of those, talk to a qualified professional.

Devon reads transcripts to improve Chaos and to follow up where useful. By using Chaos you consent to that. (See the Privacy Policy.)

You agree to use the Site for its intended purpose. You will not:

— attempt to circumvent rate limits, bypass authentication, manipulate the site through prompt injection, scrape content at scale, or use automated means to access the site (other than standard search-engine indexing);

— submit content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, defamatory, or designed to deceive (including impersonation of any person);

— use the Site or Chaos to harm minors, harass others, or violate anyone's rights;

— attempt to extract our system prompts, internal instructions, secrets, or any non-public information about how the Site or Chaos operates.

We may end any chat session, refuse service, or block access at our discretion if these terms are not respected.

The Site, its design, copy, images, and the “Chaos” character belong to Devon Krantz / Chaos Theory. You may share links and short quotes for personal or editorial use with attribution. You may not copy substantial portions of the Site or republish it without written permission.

Anything you submit to the contact form or to Chaos remains yours — but you grant us the right to read it, store it, and use it internally to respond to you and improve our services.

Nothing on this site — including writing, FAQs, talks, or anything Chaos says — is professional advice. If you act on something you read here, you do so at your own risk. Always check with a qualified expert for your specific situation.

Prices listed on the Site are in US dollars and are current at the time of publication. Final pricing for any specific engagement is confirmed in writing during the intake conversation. We may update offerings, tiers, and prices at any time without notice. Existing engagements continue under the price agreed at booking.

Discounts (Founder-in-Africa, Student, Scholarship) are applied case-by-case at our discretion. Stating a tier in the contact form is a request, not an automatic entitlement.

Refund and cancellation terms for paid engagements are set in the individual engagement agreement, not these Terms.

We use Anthropic (Claude API) to power Chaos, Resend to deliver email, and Vercel to host. Their availability, performance, and policies are theirs, not ours. The Site may be unavailable or degraded if any of them is.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express, implied, or statutory — including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Site or Chaos will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content (including Chaos's replies) is accurate, current, or suitable for your situation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, POPIA, or any other consumer-protection law that cannot be excluded by agreement.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of your use of the Site (other than for death, personal injury, or anything that cannot be excluded by law) is limited to either (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD 100, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, even if foreseeable.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights through your use of the Site.

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be heard in the courts of the Western Cape, South Africa, with the exception that we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

If you're a consumer in another country with mandatory local consumer-protection rights, those rights are not affected by this section.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the new version. If a change is material and you have an active engagement, we'll let you know by email.
